The Corporate IS Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Associate System Administrator.

As part of a team of more experienced staff, the Associate System Administrator supports Behavioral Health Division employees including corporate, local, and remote staff by troubleshooting and maintaining servers, PCs, and peripheral equipment. Works closely with team members to identify and implement resolutions to customer support incidents. Collaborates with senior programming, engineering and application support staff on design and implementation of approved projects. Contributes to research and analysis of technology based processes and systems for identified business objectives. Develops documentation of systems, processes and procedures. Coordinates activities related to server support and system administration. Provides technical and engineering expertise in the areas of systems-related project planning. Adheres to facility, department, corporate, personnel and standard policies and procedures. Uses time constructively and in an organized manner. Adheres to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance and punctuality. Maintains confidentiality of facility employees and patient information.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Investigates customer support issues to determine the nature of the problem and implement an appropriate resolution. Performs ongoing and routine system maintenance tasks.

  • Maintains hardware, operating systems and application software by applying software patches and upgrades. Performs ongoing system capacity analysis and hardware lifecycle planning.

  • Supports the implementation of applications on assigned projects to effectively accomplish desired objectives.

  • Coordinates testing, implementation and training ensuring adherence to policies and standards.

    Qualifications

    Position Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of system architecture and operating system internals.

  • Some experience working with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio) preferred but not required.

  • Analytical, organization, customer service and communication skills required in the resolution of problems.

  • Ability to balance time and effort among multiple projects and support activities according to established priorities.

  • Self-motivated and capable of learning through continued study of trade journals, technical manuals and online research.

  • Willing and able to share knowledge and expertise with other staff members in order to ensure the broadest possible knowledge base among team members.

    Travel: Up to 10% depending on projects
