Skookum's compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience) Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (flexible start and end times depending on client scheduling needs.) Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt (hourly) As an Employment Specialist, you'll be responsible for helping adults with disabilities find and retain employment. Outcomes and impact will be the main indicator of success in this position. This position will work with clients in Kitsap County and Jefferson County to expand our service area. Assist clients with pre-employment tasks such as resume creation, applying for jobs, and interview prep. Utilize SMART goals with clients to help guide goal setting, track progress, and monitor growth. Create work opportunities for adults with disabilities at local businesses and serve as a job coach for clients. Communicate effectively, establish, and maintain positive working relationships with customers, employers, job site supervisors, internal departments, parents/guardians, care staff, referral sources, external agencies, and the public. Assist employers in identifying and implementing accommodations for employment barriers including behavior supports and adaptive technology. Input data to maintain case files, documentation, and case notes within required time frames. Effectively manage a caseload of up to 30 clients.
