Workforce Resources Distribution Technician - Breinigsville in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania
Job Description
Education / Screening Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED (this will be verified and is non-negotiable)
- Drug Screen
- Comprehensive Background Check
Available Shifts:
- 1st Shift: 6:15am -- 2:30pm -----> $17.00/hr
- $2 per hour when working in PAPR/Refrigeration
- Typically OT on Mondays and Tuesdays (two hours)
- Currently required to work a 4 hour shift on a Saturday per month
- 2nd Shift: 2:15pm--10:30pm
- $18.70/hr to start
- On required 4 hour shift on a Saturday per month
- $2/hr when working in PAPR/Refrigeration
*All training is done on 1st shift and lasts 1 full week. New training classes begin every Monday.
Responsibilities:
- Apply Good Manufacturing Practices in all areas of responsibility
- Demonstrates the company mission and values
- Follows all Standard Operating Procedures
- Pick, pack and ship distribution orders that require a basic skill level
- Screen shipments for unauthorized devices in accordance with TSA requirements
- Execute distribution & warehouse system transactions
- Processes all orders according to priority set by Distribution Leader/Supervisor in order to meet receipt date.
- Verifies proper storage conditions and temperature monitoring of shipments
- Loads couriers' trucks using pallet jacks
- Identifies opportunities to improve overall quality and efficiency
- Engaged in Daily management and 5S on a daily basis
- Ensures that inventory is properly and safely stored
- Maintains warehouse for safety, security, neatness and organization
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Degree or GED
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Able to pass a TSA background check
- Able to work overtime when volume justifies additional labor hours
- Physically able to lift a minimum 40lbs and a maximum of 75lbs and use pallet jacks
- Must be willing to spend extended periods of time walking/standing, entering data for orders and handling inventory items
- Work as part of a team within Distribution and across QA, Client Services and Supply Chain departments
- Basic computer competency using Microsoft Office applications and significant data entry
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to work in a refrigerated environment with proper PPE
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fork lift experience
- Prior Distribution/Warehouse experience
- Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices
- Prior pharmaceutical or clinical logistics experience
