The VDI Lead Engineer will serve as a key technical resource within the Server and Systems group, focusing on the implementation, maintenance, and support of LAN servers for the FDNY. Operating systems include Novell NetWare 6.5, Windows 2000, and Windows Server 2008 R2. Job Responsibilities: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required. Minimum five (5) years of full-time LAN experience. Minimum three (3) years of VMware experience and MCSE Certification. Proficiency in Windows Server, VMware, VDI, SQL Server, Office 365, Commvault, VxRail, NSX, and Commvault Backup Software. Strong networking skills including TCP/IP, IPX/SPX protocols, network design, routing, switching, Cisco routing protocols, and ACS. Optimize NetWare Servers and troubleshoot workstation network issues.
