The objective of this rotational program is to develop leadership skills and attributes with a blend of technical knowledge, eye for business and soft skills. By exploring different parts of our business, you are ready to make a positive impact and use your talents to accomplish more than you thought possible. While being self-motivated is key, Amgen provides a robust system to help you succeed. Selected candidates receive a solid mentor, coach, and buddy support system to guide you throughout the program.

We have 3 open positions for our labelling and packaging and Supply Chain location in Breda, the Netherlands. The cohort kicks off in September 2024, and the 24-month Rotational Program consists of three 8-month rotations in Operations (Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and / or Supply Chain). After successful completion of the program, we expect that you will be well-prepared to succeed in future roles and take on leadership challenges in our operations organization!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Complete complex rotation assignments and tasks in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and / or Supply Chain.

  • Dive into new topics, work areas and functions, ramp up your knowledge quickly to contribute meaningfully, and meet expectations and achieve personal breakthroughs.

  • Demonstrate agility and flexibility while transitioning through 3 rotations in the different departments.

  • Understand the wider business context and how your own work contributes to Amgen's strategies, goals, and mission to serve patients.

  • Use data and insights to drive business performance.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (Life) Science, Engineering, Supply Chain or other relevant field obtained from an accredited college or university by the time program kicks-off in September 2024.

  • Leadership skills, demonstrated through extra-curricular (Captain of the soccer team, board of study association, volunteering) or work experience activities (team lead in supermarket, internships etc.).

  • Strong interest in Operations - industrial manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 0 – 2 years of work experience.

  • Data savvy, strong technical and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across teams and levels of management.

  • Excellent time and project management skills.

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a dedicated approach to achieving success.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a highly regulated environment (Good Manufacturing Practices).

  • Global mentality: willingness to relocate to other Operations Sites for future career opportunities.

  • Willingness to work shifts as part of the rotation through manufacturing to gain shopfloor experience.
