Breckenridge Public School is seeking an Assistant Cook;
Position Under the general direction of the Head Cook, assist in the preparation of breakfast and lunch.. Hours are approximately 6-6.5 hours per day following the school calendar.
Essential Functions:
- Helps prepare breakfast and lunch.
- Serves the proper serving sizes to meet USDA requirements.
- Wash dishes
- Fills in for head cook in her absence.
- Other duties as assigned by head cook.
Additional Duties
- Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience with quantity food cooking preferred.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have a good attitude and enjoy working with kids and students.
- Willingnessto learn and comprehend information from procedures manuals and other materials.
- Capability to maintain composure and perform responsibilities under pressure and in cases of accidents or other emergencies.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
Qualifications Profile: Certifications:
- Safe Serve Certificate - Preferred
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Compensation: Per the MSEA master agreement salary schedule, $15.07 to $16.86 depending on experience. (Currently in negotiations for salary) Addittional pay if candidate has a Safe Serve Certificate. The agreement is located on the district website under Employment Opportunities > Master Agreements.
