Robert Half is supporting the recruiting efforts of a company in the nonprofit industry to find a Senior Accountant. This is a full time, permanent position in Boulder. Responsibilities:
• Develop, monitor, and maintain organizational budgets in collaboration with department heads, providing guidance on financial planning and resource allocation.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with nonprofit accounting standards (GAAP).
• Oversee management of restricted funds, grants, and contributions, ensuring proper reporting and compliance with donor requirements and funding regulations.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard assets and provide support to external auditors during annual audits.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including the preparation of tax filings (Form 990) and other regulatory reports required for nonprofit organizations.
• Perform account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain and manage the general ledger and make necessary journal entries.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks and reporting.
• Manage the month-end close process and use Sage Intacct for accounting functions.

Fully cycle accounting and some financial analysis (budgeting, cashflow forecasting, etc)
Sage Intacct highly preferred
