Responsibilities
Works independently on program subtasks or features, may own small projects or large tasks, may act as lead Java developer for an Agile team. Demonstrate fluent, idiomatic mastery of Java, comfortable with software design and architecture. Provide product leadership across multiple teams and projects. Regularly communicate with customers, present status, engage in program-level meetings and processes. Other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor's degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science and 4+ years of professional experience At least four years of professional experience and fluency in Java At least four year of professional experience using package managers and/or build systems like: ant, gradle, or maven Professional experience with the exploitation and analysis of OPIR, E/O, SAR, Spectral, RF, or other remotely sensed data Knowledge in C++ and Python on Linux The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance Detail oriented Good verbal and written communication skill Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred
An advanced degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science Experience with CI/CD process automation and deploying with Jenkins, Gitlab, or similar Experience with unit testing in Java, with tools such as JUnit, Mockito, or similar Experience with integration and system-level testing with a microservice architecture Experience implementing data processing software Experience interfacing across multiple teams to design, build, and maintain shared resources Experience working at various levels of classification - UNCLASSSIFIED, SECRET, TOP SECRET, and cross-domain Experience with application containerization and orchestration with docker, docker-compose, postman, Kubernetes, etc. Professional experience with Scrum or Agile software development Benefits SciTec offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package, including:
