What Sr. Data Analyst, Strategy and Business Intelligence contributes to Cardinal Health
The Medical Products Business Intelligence Team is responsible for identifying and recommending data-driven insights to forward and support the strategic objectives of Cardinal Health’s Global Medical Products business. This function, which is a part of the Portfolio Lifecycle Management Team, leverages a unique combination of business acumen and data analytics to collaborate with business partners across the enterprise on the design, implementation, and presentation of impactful business intelligence solutions.
Job Summary
The Sr. Data Analyst, Strategy and Business Intelligence will work with the Global Upstream Marketing, Customer Research, and Digital Solutions Teams on the development of solutions which shape and drive the strategic direction of the portfolio. This position will be expected to independently and/or collaboratively transform the needs of internal business customers, spanning many levels, into insights which will require a deep understanding of a variety of data platforms. This person will be accountable for developing, maintaining, providing education on, and improving the processes and systems needed to distill insights from the broader Cardinal Dataverse.
Responsibilities
Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects
Connects the dots between business partner needs, available data, and best in class analytics techniques and visualization to drive efficient business decisions
Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific business goals
Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
Determines and leads complex projects of large scope independently
Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models
Provides solutions which may set precedent
Determines method for completion of new projects
Receives guidance on overall project objectives
Maintains a strong attention to detail and accuracy
Qualifications
BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred.
Advance Degree preferred
8-12 years experience preferred
Experience as a professional in a role demonstrating an applied use and presenting out on advanced analytics concepts
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Experience with modeling market dynamics or forecasts
Strong understanding and working knowledge of business systems (Upstream and Downstream Marketing, Customer Research, Data Analytics)
Experience with data manipulation and visualization packages such as Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI
Experience with statistical computer languages such as R and Python and/or relational databases (SQL Server knowledge)
Demonstrated understanding of visual design principles to best communicate information and insights effectively to multiple levels of an organization preferred
Demonstrated experience working in a team environment and collaborating on projects
Strong influence, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge and demonstrated ability to work with large, distributed, and previously unconnected data sets in a business environment
Well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills
Ability to travel up to 15%

Anticipated salary range: $102,000.00 to $145,700.00
