Job Description

The opportunity

The Manager Procurement, Travel Management, is responsible for handling the supplier contracts and data flow for the travel program for North America and the UK. The incumbent will manage travel vendor contract performance, partner compliance and collaborate with the sourcing group and operations to contract with new and incumbent vendors.

Responsibilities

  • As the Manager Procurement, Travel Management you:

  • Manage contracts and data for Travel vendors for North America and UK

  • Attend meetings with strategic vendors to identify issues, perform data analysis and identify areas for potential savings and efficiencies.

  • Initiate and monitor progress with internal subject matter experts and external vendors on action items such as employee support and technology configuration improvements.

  • Manage travel vendor billing process to ensure accuracy and timely payments.

  • Manage relationships, contract performance and service levels to optimize the value of each contract with preferred transactional travel vendors such as airlines, hotels, ground transportation, rail and re-shopping.

  • Collaborate with Managers of Travel Operations and Meetings & Events Operations, along with internal partners to:

  • Identify operational efficiencies.

  • Design processes in support of new programs or program components

  • Produce, and collaborate on the analysis of data and production of management reports for the travel and meeting & event programs.

  • Collaborate with operations and sourcing groups by, representing business partners requirements necessary to evaluate and propose new vendors or when renewing incumbent contracts.

  • Solicit feedback and requirements from business partners necessary to evaluate and select travel suppliers.

What we are looking for

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience with contract management and handling corporate travel program and vendors.

  • Good working knowledge of corporate travel industry and associated regulations

  • Demonstrated analytical skills and reporting experience.

  • Experience driving policy compliance.

  • Customer service and problem-solving skills are essential.

  • Familiarity with Concur Travel and Expense.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft products, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Reporting and analytics tools and Outlook

  • Expertise and confidence working with and analyzing travel and expense data.

  • Familiarity with setting and tracking KPIs

Strong assets:

  • Business degree

  • Project Management & Data analytics

  • Knowledge of meetings & events industry and technology, including Cvent.

  • Cvent administrative experience and certification

  • Knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements relating to management of third party outsourcing in the jurisdictions in which Manulife operates

  • Understanding procurement and vendor management principles

  • Experience and expertise with supplier contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal and business risk

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between

$84,375.00 CAD - $151,875.00 CAD
