System Test and Enablement Engineers are responsible to understand and develop the computer system testing of DRAM memory to ensure the functionality of Micron DRAM memory products. This position will work closely with other experienced engineers for continual updating and refining of memory test capabilities while also supporting test functions in volume lab environments. Engineers work with computer system enablers (including but not limited to Intel, AMD, or ARM vendors) to coordinate engineering efforts. Opportunities may exist to become the central contact between enablers and Micron's system compatibility labs.

Day -to-day functions may include:

  • Evaluate and develop memory diagnostics for computer system memory application and testing.

  • Debug computer and bios system failures.

  • Developing or refining computer test methodologies including designing experiments and roll out plans to result in large data collection analysis and interpretation.

  • Crafting custom tools for computer system testing of DRAM functions with respect to computer system usage.

  • Presenting data and results to customers and partners both inside and outside of Micron.

  • Work with a diverse group of engineers, technicians, and project managers to plan and implement testing needs, timelines, and results.

  • This role also collaborates with departments throughout Micron including business groups, application engineers, DRAM product engineering, return material authorization (RMA) or other customer facing groups, and quality management groups.

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Direct collaboration with System Enablers outside of Micron (Intel, AMD, ARM, ETC.).

  • Liaison and give support to Micron internal engineering labs and supporting groups.

  • FA and system analysis within joint lab and internal validation teams

  • Engineering tool/test development and training, including all documentation needed.

  • Design and implement automation for system level testing as needed.

How to qualify:

  • Extensive experience of computer hardware: X86, Intel, AMD, ARM, Computer Systems, DRAM, memory modules, etc.

  • Experience/Understanding of equipment: Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, motherboard, processors, and other computer equipment.

  • Experience/Understanding software and programing from an Engineering level: Python, Linux, UEFI shell, SQL, C#, C++ Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or computer engineering

  • Ability and willingness to travel as required.

  • 5+ years demonstrated ability in relevant field.
