Responsible for maximizing the value of semiconductor products through quality enhancements, by improving the technical understanding of product failures, driving changes to product manufacturing, driving changes to product testing procedures, and collaborating across engineering groups. Will compile and disseminate lessons learned. Create and maintain design documentation. Compile and complete pre-silicon checklist. Work across groups to ensure testing resources are available, including probe cards, substrates, package part trays, and tester handler kits. Identify Product Engineering Lab equipment needs and validate Product Engineering Lab equipment. Work with Test and Probe and Product Engineering to modify programs for specific product requirements. Analyze Probe and Test Parametric data. He will troubleshoot, develop, and validate device testing programs. Be responsible for debugging, identifying root cause failure, and implementing fixes for fails (Design or Process). Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) Teams on customer returns to identify new tests and to ensure product reliability. Monitor yields and verify that yields meet projections. Create and deliver presentations. Evaluate data sheets and provide feedback to Application Engineers. Prioritize work with other groups. Provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) for new engineers. Instruct on data presentation and techniques and assist with data interpretation. Make decisions to effectively deal with complex situations, understanding their impact. Apply engineering knowledge to new situations, or new problems, and can modify approach for almost any situation.

Employer will accept a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related field and three (3) years of work experience in job offered or three (3) years of product engineer-related experience. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related field and five (5) years of work experience in job offered or five (5) years of product engineer-related experience.
