North Atlantic Industries Systems Engineer in Bohemia, New York
As a Systems Engineer, you play a pivotal role in developing and delivering high-performance solutions, drawing on your established technical expertise. You are responsible for defining requirements, designing systems, leading integrations, and ensuring successful implementation.
Requirements: Conduct in-depth analysis to understand the broader system context. Develop system concepts and architectures. Translate customer needs into detailed system and subsystem requirements, leveraging your prior experience in requirements development. Plan, execute, and manage test procedures to ensure system designs function under real-world conditions. Lead integration efforts, ensuring hardware and software components work seamlessly together. Document designs, processes, and system specifications to maintain clear and organized development and implementation phases. Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering teams and customers, addressing technical challenges and ensuring customer expectations are met. Identify and implement process improvements, contributing to the overall success of the engineering team through proactive problem-solving and best practices.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field. 5+ years of experience in requirements development, system architecture, and integration. Proven technical and analytical skills, with the ability to address complex engineering challenges independently. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with both internal teams and external customers. Deep understanding of product development lifecycle, inclusive of mechanical and software. Understanding of Defense design review cycle (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.)
