Sartorius North America Channel Manager Advanced Therapy Solutions APAC in Bohemia, New York

The Channel Manager will be responsible for his/her region, to manage the distribution network related to ATS portfolio and is responsible for policy and commercial strategy implementation to develop long-term partnerships. The holder of this position, reporting and being supported by the Global head of Channel management, will closely work with ATS local support functions (Sales teams, Scientific support, Field application specialist, product management and MarCom) to ensure efficient and beneficial interactions with the distribution network. He/She will support the commercial activities, including developing, executing, and monitoring sales plans in line with the organization's overall growth and markets strategy.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • In relation with the Head of Channel Management and the commercial leadership of the region, develop a "specific to the region" strategic commercial plan for each channel (potentially including LPS and e-commerce platform) including objectives, sales goals, KPIs and forecasting as well as market share expansion proactively assessing, qualifying the new channels in accordance with strategic assessment, local and global needs.
  • Current legal contracts and agreements with the various distributors to be review and potentially updated, ensuring terms are in line with company policies, objectives, and goals.
  • Assess Channel performances proactively by using internal tools (SFDC) and where needed implementing specific communication tools including quarterly business reviews with critical milestones, financial targets/achievement, KPIs (i.e: Distributor inventory visibility) and marketing performance. Areas for improvement to be identified and corrective actions plan implementation.
  • Perform Annual Distributor assessment / Annual Business review with Distributor Top management for continuous relationship improvement and Y+1 goals definitions/approval.
  • Recording of the activities/distributor journey/Opportunities/ Leads interest into SFDC. WTS Prog. to also be recorded where possible to support ATS Initiative and objectives.
  • Build and foster effective relationships with both channel partners and internal teams to execute the defined strategies and policies of the organization.
  • Define, implement and ensure an entire range of product and services ( i.e training/sampling prog/ trade show event/...) delivered to distributors and enlist the support of specialist, service resources, applications team and other necessary critical resources.
  • Initiate strategic initiatives on the region for the region to answer to specific needs and habits.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade show and conferences to promote our product and expand our network of contacts.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and to support future strategies development to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualification & Skills:

  • Academic degree in a life science discipline, business administration, or similar
  • Proven experience in sales and channel management (Laboratory consumables and speciality business) with a minimum 3 years in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles with ability to develop and implement effective strategies, tactics, and innovative business model with experience in negotiating contracts and agreements thanks to financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving business growth and achieving objectives.
  • Strong work ethic, commitment to excellence and passion for delivering and self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong and long-term relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM (SFDC) software.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in English and mandarin, additional Asian languages are a plus Local
