Emerson Strategic Sales Account Leader in Bogota, Colombia

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic account plans to drive sales growth, collaborating with proposals and operations teams to achieve PSS bookings targets. You'll engage customers through events and presentations, acting as a liaison between departments, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert in customer interactions, contributing to solution design and marketing plans. Your duties will also include maintaining accurate sales records, leading strategic presales activities, conducting demos and presentations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and Trade Compliance procedures. Additionally, you'll assist in developing marketing plans, preparing technical presentations, maintain an updated funnel/pipeline, report monthly sales results, coordinating bid preparation, demonstrating cooperation with other business units, and enforcing company policies and business ethics codes.

Who you are:

In this role, you're pivotal in driving sales growth and encouraging client relationships. You'll develop strategic account plans, collaborate with teams to meet targets, and engage customers through events and presentations. Serving as a Subject Matter Expert, you'll craft solutions and marketing plans. Your responsibilities include maintaining records, leading presales activities, and ensuring compliance. You'll also contribute to marketing plans, prepare presentations, and handle the sales pipeline. Additionally, you'll coordinate bids, foster collaboration across units, and uphold company policies and ethics.

For this role, you will need:

  • Experience with large and complex organizations (matrix).

  • Understanding of Strategic Accounts, Sales Channels, EPC, OEMs, and Private Market dynamics.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Willingness to travel and work in a distributed team environment.

  • Knowledge of Process Automation and cross-business unit structures.

Preferred qualifications that set you apart:

  • 5+ years of sales experience in automation and control.

  • 3+ years specifically in Process Automation.

  • Sophisticated technical understanding of control systems.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Automation Control, Sales Management, Science, or Business Administration.

  • Upper Intermediate proficiency in English (B2).

  • Expertise in developing account penetration strategies and Solutions Selling methodology.

  • Prior experience in project pursuit sales support, including conducting live demonstrations and formal presentations.
