JOB SUMMARY:

The role is for a residency program coordinator in Emergency Medicine. Oversees the residents' schedules, evaluations, reimbursements. Works with Program Director scheduling meetings, taking minutes and organizing paperwork. Keeps track of Program compliance with their governing body, which includes reporting of educational progress, curriculum metrics etc. This is not a teaching position.

The academic program coordinator manages the schedules for all St. Elizabeth Boardman Emergency Medicine residents and core faculty and coordinates the scheduling of residency activities with outside offices and organizations. The academic specialist is involved in the process of interviewing residency applicants, managing the interview process, and assisting in the subsequent enrollment in the program. He/she facilitates the accreditation processes with the various credentialing bodies. He/she coordinates all program functions including educational activities and rotations. He/she maintains all confidential credentialing and evaluation documents.

  • Facilitates the recruitment process including scheduling all aspects of the interview process.

  • Facilitates accreditation and reporting to appropriate agencies.

  • Assists the program director in writing and implementing program policies.

  • Maintains documentation of all training records, including confidential evaluation and credentialing documents.

  • Ensures accurate reporting of resident time and develops IRIS reports for CMS accounting.

  • Function as the contact person for all persons or organizations requiring advice or information regarding the residency program.

  • Manages the undergraduate medical student activities.

EDUCATION:

Minimum Education: Associate’s Degree

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Combination of post-secondary education and experience will be considered in lieu of degree
