Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all plant machinery, reviewing plant equipment operations to determine maintenance or repair needs, and troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Your role will include maintaining a low percentage of maintenance downtime, completing work order documentation, monitoring various systems such as control, hydraulic, and fire protection, and managing inventories for machine parts and equipment. You will also assist in new equipment installations and perform facilities maintenance as required by plant management.
Hard Skills
Knowledge of steel production processes and quality standards
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses
Knowledge of motor control systems, hydraulic systems, fire protection, and mechanical bearing systems
Basic arithmetic skills
Proficiency with tape measures, Rockwell tester, micrometers, and calipers
Ability to read and understand material tags and production instructions
Soft Skills
