OVERVIEW

The Regional Director of Operations who is responsible for leading and managing the operational performance of multiple manufacturing sites within a designated region. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a strong operational background, excellent leadership skills, and a track record of driving process improvements and efficiency. The ideal candidate will ensure that all manufacturing operations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily operations of multiple manufacturing facilities within the region, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity across all sites

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives

  • Lead and mentor plant managers and operational teams, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards

  • Collaborate with other departments, including finance, supply chain, and engineering, to support overall business objectives and operational goals

  • Identify and address operational challenges and opportunities, developing and implementing solutions to optimize performance

  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices to streamline processes and eliminate waste

  • Oversee budget preparation and management, ensuring cost control and financial performance within the region

  • Lead change management efforts to support the implementation of new processes, technologies, and systems

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing multiple sites

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence, cost reduction, and productivity improvements

  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Experience in budget management and financial analysis

  • Ability to travel frequently within the region to oversee operations and support site teams

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

  • MBA is preferred

LOCATION

  • Ideally the successful candidate will be within driving distance within an hour driving distance of a major airport. Preference for candidates in central US due to integration with other Cadrex functions. Candidates will be able to work remotely.
