Guthrie Rehabilitation Technician - Physical Therapy - Full Time in Binghamton, New York
Position Summary: The Technician assumes responsibility for: preparation of equipment and treatment areas; transportation of patients/residents to/from the waiting room to service area; maintenance of and inventory of stock supplies; safety of and care of patients/residents, fellow employees and equipment; maintains by appearance and actions conduct that enhances the profession and provision of service. Maintains cleaning logs, record keeping.
Education, License & Cert: High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience with direct patient care.
Essential Functions:
Prepares individual treatment areas in anticipation of next patient visit.
Assists patient in preparation for treatment, during treatment and at the conclusion of treatment under therapist directive/supervision.
Assembles, disassembles equipment and accessories utilized for patient/resident treatment.
Inspects equipment daily to ensure safe operation.
Maintains all treatment equipment including but not limited to: ultrasound; electric stimulation; weights; exercise/therapeutic equipment needed for daily operation of the department.
Maintains adequate linen supplies to ensure patient/resident comfort during treatment.
Maintains care and use of an inventory of necessary equipment; ambulatory aides; pharmaceutical agents; sterile supplies.
Performs duties necessary for efficient operation of the department. (changes linen; cleaning)
Is responsive to requests from professional staff.
Assists with data collection/monitoring of the departments CQI process and program.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $22.37/hr
