Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician 3 for Guthrie Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, NY. As a key member of the biomedical engineering team, the Biomedical Equipment Technician 3 will be responsible for ensuring that all medical equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning to meet safety and performance standards.
What You'll Do
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repairs on medical equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
Ensure all medical equipment meets safety and performance standards, adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with the biomedical engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
Document and maintain accurate records of all maintenance, calibration, and repair activities.
Assist in the installation, testing, and validation of new medical equipment.
Respond to equipment malfunctions and provide timely repairs to minimize downtime.
Work closely with hospital staff to ensure equipment is safe and operational for patient care.
Stay current with industry trends and developments to ensure best practices are followed.

What You Bring
Sterilizer and GE anesthesia experience preferred
A minimum of 7 years of experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical devices independently
Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices
Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills
Scheduling flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation schedule

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment
Minimum Functional Experience - 7 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting
