We are looking for a reliable Wedding Cake Delivery Driver to join our team to ensure all wedding cakes, custom cakes, cupcakes and cookies are loaded, transported and delivered to venues and residences throughout Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas in a safe and timely manner.

A Wedding Cake Delivery Driver is a position with our wedding department, assisting with the delivery of custom wedding orders for a couple's special day.  Additional duties and responsibilities of a Wedding Cake Delivery Driver are:

• Lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, delivering and setting-up wedding cakes and/or cookies/pastries at venues and residences.
• Reviewing orders before and after deliveries to ensure order is complete and customer is satisfied.
• Operating a company vehicle to make deliveries while adhering to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures and transportation laws.
• Representing Bethel Bakery in a professional manner at wedding venues and residences throughout Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.
• Providing excellent customer service, answering questions and handling complaints from customers/venues.

Education/Experience Needed

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous delivery driver experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Needed

• Strong communication skills to be able to interface with customers and vendors in providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to stay on schedule and make timely deliveries, with care and impeccable attention to detail and presentation.
• Ability to lift and carry decorated, tiered cakes, which could weigh up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity and strength are required during loading and unloading the delivery vehicle.
• Excellent driving skills, with a good sense of direction and a knowledge of traffic regulations.
• Ability to work in a supportive team environment.
• Must be able to drive, walk, sit, stand, lift/carry up to 40 pounds, reach, push, pull, kneel, crouch, crawl, see, hear and speak during the course of your shift.
• Ability to drive a cargo van.

Requirements

• Clean, professional appearance.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid PA Driver's License and a clean driving record for the past 5 years.
• Must be able to pass a drug and background screening test prior to hire.

Hours

• PART-TIME; HOURS/WEEK VARIES DEPENDING ON SCHEDULED DELIVERIES
• Must be available to work between the hours of 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. on Saturdays; Friday availability between 10-4 p.m. is preferred, but not required

Work Location

• 5200 Brightwood Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102; must be able to reliably commute or planning to relocate prior to starting work.
• Driving to venues and residences throughout Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.

Salary

• $18/HOUR
