Boeing’s Specialized US Infrastructure Organization is currently seeking a Mid-Level Propriety Area Linux Systems Administrator to join their team in Berkeley, MO . This position will install, operate, secure, and maintain dedicated Program Information Technology Infrastructure that is required to deliver products to our customers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Analyzes computing requirements

• Leads a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities

• Leads activities to install, configure, and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software, and components

• Leads activities to plan, develop, design, and integrate all computer applications

• Plans and coordinates highly complex software and hardware for enterprise release

• Ensures systems conforms to architectural objectives

• Evaluates complex systems’ production readiness and supportability

• Performs the restoration of complex computing service operations

• Performs complex system problem identification and resolution

• Leads activities to integrate security solutions into information systems

• Develops project plans for the implementation of Linux systems into a computing environment

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Current CompTIA Security+ certification

• 3+ years of experience with performing system administration tasks on Linux hosts including installing security patches and making configuration changes to support security requirements

• 3+ years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for RHEL 6 or higher

• 3+ years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Windows 7 or higher

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• 5+ years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Oracle Linux/RHEL 6 or higher

• 5+ years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Windows 7 or higher

• 5+ experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Oracle Linux/RHEL 6 or higher

• Experience with Kickstart Scripts

• Experience with Bash

• Experience evaluating and communicating complex system problems and resolution.

• Experience with integrate security solutions (McAfee, Splunk, HBSS) into information systems

• Puppet/Ansible Experience

• NFS/Storage Experience

• Diskless Booting Experience

• GRUB Experience

Typical Education & Experience:

Technical bachelor’s degree and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree with typically 3 or more years’ or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $88,400 - $119,600
