Position Summary...
What you'll do...
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll lead an Agile Team to develop features for the tools Merchants use to decide what items to put in the store or online, what store those items should go to, and when the items should arrive at the store. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the feature set of this platform using the latest tech stack.

Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization. Merchandising Tools is at the heart of Walmart's business, our platform plays a crucial role in providing the information that Merchants need to make the decisions that impact the business-such as Replenishment, Store Operations, online sales, forecasting, finance etc. Our team is spread across three different locations Bentonville, Sunnyvale, and Bangalore.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the team, you will be expected to design, lead the team in coding, testing, and deploying cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers worldwide.
Collaborate with senior members of the team to gather requirements, design solutions that are reviewed by a design review council, code, test and deploy the products to production.
Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
What you'll bring:
1+ years of experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior developers
1+ years of experience designing and architecting highly scalable systems
2 years (MS CS), 3 years (BS CS) or 5 years (no CS degree) of software development experience on large-scale highly scalable systems.
2 years (MS CS), 3 years (BS CS) or 5 years (no CS degree) of experience designing frontend technical solutions using React/Angular
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and responsive web design
2 years (MS CS), 3 years (BS CS) or 5 years (no CS degree) years of experience designing backend technical solutions using Java
Proficiency with microservices, api patterns (REST, GraphQL), object-oriented design patterns and application security
Ability to debug complex systems
Ability to size a system based on requirements, i.e. capacity modeling.
2 years (MS CS), 3 years (BS CS) or 5 years (no CS degree)years of experience developing and interacting with databases both relational & no-sql.
Experience in optimizing queries and scaling databases

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
