Our licensed, NAEYC accredited, 5 STAR Early Care and Education Program at Sunrise Family Resource Center is looking for a full-time early education teacher. We are seeking a committed professional who has experience with children ages 6 weeks to 3 years, who loves to get down on the floor to play and appreciates that early childhood is a messy business.
The ideal candidate will be able to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum in a safe and nurturing environment, have knowledge of trauma-informed practices, work well in a team atmosphere, and provide education and support to parents.
Primary Duties:
- Maintain NAEYC Guidelines for Best Practices and all state licensing regulations in daily operations.
- Complete any required daily paperwork, lesson plans and notes.
- Work positively and collectively with others, as a team member of the ECE Program and the Sunrise community.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in early childhood education (or related field), preferred. High School Diploma/GED and 21 early childhood education related credits required.
Will consider applicants who are working on completing their associates degree and have a minimum of 12 early childhood education related credits.
Experience working with children required.
Prospective candidates must have the ability to pass a background check with fingerprinting, to be completed upon employment.
Strong organizational skills a must. Knowledge of the philosophy and strength-based values of family centered services and early childhood education is an important part of this rewarding work.
Schedule: 40 Hours per week, Monday Friday: 8:00am 4:00pm, with a 30 minute paid lunch.
Compensation: \$17 - \$20/hour, based on experience.
