Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Development Manager to lead our development team in delivering high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development lifecycle (SDLC), excellent people management skills, and expertise in agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and various programming languages and technologies. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a passion for driving innovation.
What you’ll be doing
Manage and lead a team of software developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Oversee the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from conception to deployment, ensuring adherence to best practices, quality standards, and project timelines.
Implement and promote agile methodologies and practices within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, and operations, to prioritize tasks, resolve issues, and drive project delivery.
Lead and participate in design and architecture discussions, providing technical guidance and insights to the team.
Drive DevOps initiatives, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and cloud deployment strategies.
Perform issue triage and resolution, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
Utilize analytical skills to analyze project metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize team performance and project outcomes.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on our development processes and recommending adoption where appropriate.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) in software development, with expertise in Java, Python, .NET, Oracle, MySQL, ScyllaDB, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices.
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their full potential.
In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies, with experience leading agile teams and driving agile transformations.
Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, infrastructure as code, and cloud platforms.
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, identify solutions, and drive problem resolution.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Highly analytical mindset, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and optimize processes.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
