The Organisation:
The Global Health Digital Technology organisation is responsible for International Health’s shared Contact Center, Health and Digital software solutions used across many of our regions. The multiple scrum teams in the Global space have developers and testers in Bangalore and are continuing to invest in growing the capability and maturity of these teams.
The Position:
Reporting to the Head of Global Development - CHSI Bangalore , the successful candidate will be responsible for the Development capability of the CHSI, Bangalore-based International Health Global Software Delivery team. The SDSDL will oversee the onboarding, training and effectiveness of the team and will liaise closely with Scrum Masters across the Global scrum teams to ensure that the needs of the teams are being met and managed effectively. The SDSDL will be a high-performing individual who is methodical, inquisitive and has a passion for high-quality deliverables.
They will be expected to provide innovative solutions to overcome challenges and meet the capacity needs of the teams.
Engaging across the IH Global scrum teams you will support effective delivery of successful software solutions (mainly Salesforce) utilising SAFe Agile methodology, collaborating with individuals located globally with both in-person and remotely managed meetings.
Main Duties / Responsibilities:
Lead & Drive the Bangalore based IH Global Development team
Have a detailed awareness of the demand on each of the individuals in the team
Manage resource staffing based on the demand & supply
Ensuring new CHSI employees are efficiently onboarded and looked after during joining process
Responsible for the career development and the performance of the team members
Responsible for creating a good work environment & culture for the team
Capacity planning & resource allocation
Manage resourcing related risk & issues with proactive mitigations
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve the quality & productivity of the team
Attend relevant agile process & ceremonies
Adhere to the organization's policies, best practices and help to drive changes to achieve more efficiency
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
8 Yrs experience in Software Development
3 yrs. Experience as Team Lead
Knowledge of the Health Insurance Industry
Broad knowledge of the Software Delivery Lifecycle
Proven experience of working within an Agile environment
Competent user of Microsoft office applications like Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Comfortable working independently, leading a team or as part of a team
Demonstrate accuracy and possess a keen eye for detail
Strong interest in personal development
Desirable Skills and Experience
Finance business knowledge
One of: Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Platform App Builder or Salesforce Platform Developer Certifications
Web based software development, especially using Java and HTML
Salesforce & Vlocity Technology experience
JIRA, Azure Dev Ops
