Job Description
Oracle Exadata Cloud Service is one of the critical Service in Cloud for enabling automation around Exadata database server life cycle. Qualified engineer will solve complex problems related to infrastructure cloud services and build automation to resolve problem and recover services. Design, develop, and deploy automation of standard operating procedures to improve availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products and services.

As a Principal Member of Technical Staff, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for the design and develop of automation and automation framework, with focus on service, security, resiliency, scale, and performance. The role of SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) Automation Developer requires strong technical background in multiple areas associated with the Exadata Server life cycle, automation workflows, ability to quickly learn and adapt to new product stacks. The key is the cloud approach to get engaged on issues, work on live issues, quickly diagnose/mitigate issues, create bug fixes , software patches , SOPs and most importantly work on diagnostic improvements and to automation tooling to scale. It also requires good communications skills, ability to own and lead software design and development, handle hot and complex critical issues.
Qualifications
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding or equivalent practical experience
6+ years of experience in software development, focusing on scalable products and services
Object Orientated programming experience required
Comprehensive understanding of the product development lifecycle, including: technical specifications refinement; high-level and low-level design; architecture optimization; code development and review
Strong proficiency in Java and Python
Good understand of testing methodologies
Experience with CI/CD technologies
Past experience of building scalable, performant, and secure services/modules
Good understanding of versioning tools like Git/Bitbucket.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and delivering high-quality, complex software solutions in a collaborative environment.
