Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our engineering team. As a Senior Java Developer, you will work on critical revenue cycle workflows that impacts customers all over the world. While we are building our next generation revenue cycle products, you will get a chance to build applications and services from the scratch and own the delivery all the way to deployment. You will be part of the team developing apps using Oracle's APEX which is the world's most popular enterprise low-code application platform and build backend services hosted on Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure(OCI).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development:

  • Analyze, design, code, debug, test, and modify new software or enhancements while considering software abilities.

  • Create strategic technical designs for complex projects within the team.

  • Provide high-level architecture guidance and develop specifications to resolve software problems.

  • Performance and Scalability:

  • Identify performance and scalability challenges and provide the right technical resolutions.

  • Stakeholder Consultation:

  • Consult with stakeholders on current functionality and complexity of adding features.

  • Estimate effort for current and future projects of small to medium scope.

  • Debugging:

  • Debug complicated issues that span multiple modules, involve complex concurrency or low-level problems.

  • Process Improvement:

  • Propose and lead process improvement projects for development, deployment, or application monitoring.

  • Mentorship:

  • Coach engineers and assist in hiring the right talent.

  • Share knowledge within the team through mentorship, technical talks, and blogs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of software development experience, with a focus on Java/JEE.

  • Proficiency in Microservices, RESTful services, and SpringBoot.

  • Knowledge and experience in SQL and Oracle APEX.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., GitBucket, GitHub, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing scalable and high-performance applications.

  • Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., APEX, Visual Builder, etc).

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Prior experience in technical leadership or mentorship role.
