Job Description Summary
Role Summary/Purpose:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the addressing the IB(Installed Base) issues reported from the customer site and fix/develop a set of modules in our distributed IoMT (Internet of Medical Things) platform and technically drive and own all aspects of them. This will include all phases of Software Development Life Cycle for the given modules – requirement analysis, design, coding, test automation and integration to the subsystem or platform. You will work independently and contribute to the immediate team in Agile development paradigm.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities :
In this role, you will:
Lead the effort for IB issues reported from the customers/service engineers.
Identify the scope of the work, provide initial estimates.
Engage in technical discussions; participate in technical designs and present technical ideas through white boarding. Work with the global stakeholders to understand the IB issue that is reported.
Debug the software application to analyze the issue, come up with RCA and implement the fix.
Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation.
Seek and provide feedback on design and development.
Demonstrate the ability to make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment.
Understand whole product, its modules and the interrelationship between them while being an expert in the assigned component or module.
Be an expert in writing code that meets standards and delivers the desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
Drive design reviews, define interfaces between code modules, and applies existing technology to designs.
Be an expert in assessing application performance and optimizing/improving it through design and best coding practices.
Be an expert in core data structures as well as algorithms and has the ability to implement them using language of choice.
Demonstrate the understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and able to distinguish the core inputs and outputs in each cycle.
Execute in a fast pace delivery mode and focus in delivering tasks to meet the product release goal.
Be responsible for defining, developing and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure.
Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
Have exposure to continuous integration, testing and delivery methodologies and tools
Work closely with Architects, Tech Leads, Scrum Lead and the scrum team members.
Manage workflow of stories in Jira/Rally and ensure that they are delivered to agreed quality with traceability
Educational Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in equivalent streams.
A minimum of 6 + years of professional experience in developing and managing enterprise-grade software applications.
Hands on knowledge of software application debugging.
Technical Expertise:
Hands-on experience on core Java (1.8 or higher) and Spring boot framework.
Strong experience of developing and debugging multithreaded applications.
Hands-on experience in API design and development
Expertise in developing highly available and scalable distributed enterprise backend systems.
Exposure to developing containerized applications/services in Docker/Kubernetes environment.
Strong working knowledge of design patterns, data structures and coding principles
Strong expertise in designing scalable enterprise solutions on microservices paradigm and REST APIs.
Understanding of Object Oriented Programming paradigms and application in implementing reusable and maintainable software components
Expertise in core data structures as well as algorithms and has the ability to implement them using language of choice.
Good understanding and experience with DevOps practices and Continuous Integration /Continuous Delivery tool chains (Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Sonar, Code review tools).
Deep understanding and hands on knowledge of code quality, code performance and tools usage.
Good understanding of Agile delivery methodology and experience in working with Scrum teams.
Desired Characteristics
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with Architects and technical leadership with confidence and clarity.
Able to work with global teams.
Strong problem solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments.
Prior experience in Healthcare/Patient monitoring will be an added advantage.
