What you will do:
Embarking on a role as an individual contributor in the realm of Embedded Operating Systems is a thrilling journey that blends technical prowess with innovative testing strategies. With a focus on Embedded OS software, this position demands a robust understanding of technical intricacies and a proven track record in troubleshooting and testing. The engineer will engage in meticulous experimental testing, crafting comprehensive test plans and protocols that ensure thorough verification processes. Authoring detailed test reports is also a key aspect of this role, requiring a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to documentation. Independence is a cornerstone of this position, as is the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced development environment. Moreover, the role is not just about individual excellence; it necessitates a collaborative spirit, working hand-in-hand with R&D Development Engineers to foster a culture of teamwork and shared success. Business and Technical Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement and Continuous Development process development, integration, and maintenance.
Embedded OS Software and Firmware troubleshooting.
Scrum and Agile Participation
Test Plan Creation
Programming Automated Emb. SW Test Cases
Test Case and Test Protocol Authoring
Experimental Test Execution and Verification Test Execution
Logging and Documenting Defects in Jira
Analyzing Code Differentials
Test Report Authoring
What you will need:
1. Various Communication Protocol Knowledge
802.11 and Network Knowledge
Wireless Protocol and ISM Band Familiarity (Bandwidth, Frequencies/Channels)
Internet Protocol Familiarity
Ethernet Knowledge
Bluetooth Knowledge
2. Programming Knowledge
Working in a Command Line Linux Environment
Working on Continuous Improvement / Continuous Development Projects
Working with and Programming C, C++, Python, Bash Scripting
Testing:
Good Documentation Practices
Writing Test Protocols, Test Reports, and Test Plans in accordance with Medical Device Regulations
Ability to analyze code differentials and assess impact to testing
3. Preferred Tools:
Wireshark
Network/Spectrum Analyzers
Jira
Git Software Version Control
4. Experience
6-9 Years of experience in Software Testing (Embedded)
Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent Degree/Discipline
Software Verification Experience
Medical Device Industry experience
