Job Description Position Title: Beltrami County Victim Services & Sexually Exploited Youth Coordinator Hours Per Week: 36 per week (Part-Time) Overall Objective of Position: The Beltrami Sexual Violence Services Coordinator is a sexual violence staff with Support Within Reach and will be responsible for developing and implementing sexual violence services and programing within the Beltrami County area. Within this work, this staff will be responsible for providing crisis intervention, support, advocacy, and information and referrals to victims of sexual violence and sexual exploitation. This is a Part-time position and is housed out of Support Within Reach office in Bemidji, MN. It requires rotating on-call responsibilities with other staff in the District 1 area. Reports to: County Supervisor Office Location: Primary workspace is located in Bemidji, MN. However, this position will include travel to other counties that are being serviced (Hubbard, Clearwater, and Cass) on occasion. Position training will require travel other counties at time. You will be expected to comply with Support Within Reach internal COVID prevention policies by wearing a face covering at all times when sharing office space that s less than the minimum of a 6-feet distance from Clients. You will also be asked to help maintain a clean, safe work environment by fulfilling daily cleaning and sanitation responsibilities when you staff the County office, and when you re assigned to provide in-office coverage in Bemidji (upon completion of the 40-hour sexual assault advocacy training program). Participate in goal setting for the agency and exhibit open communication and teamwork with other staff members. Attend all relevant staff meetings, administrative meetings, case consultations, strategic planning sessions, and participate in group decision-making process. Attend board meetings and other meetings as requested. Maintain accurate records of client contacts and presentation forms, and complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner. Share in & support other Beltrami County staff in general office duties as needed, such as answering phones, filing, photocopying, clean-up, etc. Participate in projects and special assignments as approved by County Supervisor. Primary Responsibility Maintain a highly active case load. Work with clients by phone, email, and in face-to-face meetings both one-on-one and in groups. Provide client-centered, trauma informed, and culturally competent crisis interventions and direct services to primary and secondary victims/survivors of sexual violence, including support, information, referrals, systems advocacy, arranging transportation, and emergency services as needed. Provide information to clients as needed on various topics such as: safety planning/risk assessment, dynamics of sexual violence, common reactions to sexual violence, use of technology involved to sometimes carry out sexual violence, sexual exploitation, the impact of violence on children, crime victims rights, reparations, and other issues as identified by the client. Provide legal advocacy services, including assistance with filing of OFP/HRO s, attending court hearings with clients, and supporting clients during law enforcement interviews. Provide community education and awareness related to Support Within Reach s services. Provide a minimum of 6 community awareness events per year (including articles in the newspaper, public service announcements on radio stations, posting brochures/posters in outl ing areas of the community). Assist in the provision of victim/client services with other Support Within Reach staff advocates and volunteers in the Counties, including the coordination of in-office scheduling and on-call crisis line coverage to ensure immediate access to services. Coordinate planning and facilitation of support groups. Inform County Supervisor of programming issues, trends, needs, and concerns related to agency s overall functioning in Beltrami County. Ensure that statistics/reports are maintained and completed in a timely manner for monthly board meetings, and quarterly, mid-year, and annual reports for grant writing. Schedule monthly program meetings with the County Supervisor (or more often if needed) to discuss client concerns, workload management, professional development interests and training needs, and developments within the programs you oversee. Continuing education maintain a minimum of 10 hours per year. Up to 5 hours per year can be completed through the use of educational tools (videos, books, and consultations) you personally select. Assist in providing 24-hour response to survivors at law enforcement centers, hospitals and other locations after hours. Share in on-call responsibility with other direct service staff each month within (Cass, Clearwater, Hubbard, Beltrami counties). Coordinate with staff to ensure agency participation in special events, such as county/health fairs, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Stalking Awareness Month, Child Abuse Awareness Month, Crime Victim Rights Week, Take Back the Night, etc. Other duties as assigned by the County Supervisor. Advocacy, Outreach, and Organization Representation Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners and area agencies. Coordinate and/or assist with adult community education and professional training, including distributing posters, brochures, cards, and other publicity as needed. Assist with volunteer training as needed. Network with community agencies to inform them of services to encourage referrals. Complete speaking engagements and assist with the process of evaluating the agency s educational series. Attend statewide networking meetings as appropriate. Contribute to agency newsletter and mailing lists as requested. Areas of Responsibility Coordinate monthly meetings/annual planning retreats (facilitate meetings, develop agendas, take minutes, & disseminate materials to team members, etc.). Communicate with and facilitate communication between team members. Work to ensure participation and representation from key agencies (prosecution, law enforcement, probation, hospitals, etc.) and specific populations as necessary. Develop materials and provide orientation for new team members. Facilitate overall project development and planning, including ongoing monitoring of mission statement and project goals. Provide guideline protocol training as needed you must provide one in-service training each month at a minimum. Problem-solve issues and mediate problems between participants/agencies. Work to build cultural competency within the team. Administer and implement the eight-step protocol model in concert with the team. Network with agencies, systems, and community members to gather input on improving response to victims of sexual assault in Clearwater County. Gather, compile, disseminate and maintain statistical data and records for the project (i.e. client/team evaluations, community needs assessments, etc.). Prepare and submit all necessary project reports and updates for the project. Attend other multi-disciplinary meetings as necessary. Sexually Exploited Youth (12 hours per week) Coordinate SEY programs by providing victim services and case management to SEY clients in Beltrami, Cass, Clearwater & Hubbard Counties. Work with staff from North Homes Children & Family Services, Evergreen Youth & Family Services, and Northwestern Minnesota Juvenile Center to coordinate victim services (as outlined below), meeti
