Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
This position is responsible for ensuring quality standards are met for the assigned machine group through the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of the machine.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate machines to ensure quality standards are met.
Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.
Utilize gages and gaging techniques as required.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Perform material handling and operate a forklift.
Conduct grinding, drilling, and production tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
Experience with grinding and mechanical operations.
Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.
Previous manufacturing experience.
Machine operating experience is a plus.
Forklift operation and material-handling experience.
Ability to read blueprints and operate a drill press.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to use all gages and gaging techniques required.
Thorough understanding of SPC.
Basic computer knowledge.
Knowledge of ISO/QS requirements.
Good teamwork skills.
Solid math skills for blue print reading, gaging, and SPC.
High School Diploma/GED or relevant experience.
Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment
This is a manufacturing environment that isn't temperature controlled due to the number of machines running. Expect consistent loud banging on the production floor and an odor similar to that of an auto shop.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belvidere, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
