Job Description:
- Acknowledge customers with eye contact, smile and offer assistance when requested or upon observation of need.
- Log sales on cash register, process payments as well as bag prescriptions accurately.
- Ensure prescriptions given to patient are correct with respect to patient using name along with DOB to confirm.
- Handle money properly and record all transactions accurately.
- Answer phones and triage callers appropriately while maintaining pleasant, patient and calm demeanor, prioritizing and resolving issues and escalate to management when necessary.
- Dust and clean shelves and surfaces on an ongoing basis, as well as workstations, computer screens and any item or surface touched or used by customers in order to maintain a sanitized, organized, and orderly workplace at all times.
- Clean and wash any personal dining items such as plates, bowls, glasses, cups, mugs, pots, pans, utensils, as well as cleaning microwave and kitchen areas used for meals at work.
- Maintain and manage over-counter drug products, order and stock adequate inventory.
- Re-stock prescription stock vials, bottles, office supplies, snacks and drinks as directed by pharmacist/pharmacy technician.
- Support pharmacist as well as pharmacy technician with any tasks or transactions that arise kas directed by pharmacist or pharmacy technician.
- Maintain competency level to answer patients' questions related to prescription plans.
- Execute rules and regulations related to operational, administrative and professional written procedures and policies of pharmacy services.
- Ensure to check in, process and put in stock merchandise received accurately and in orderly manner as directed by pharmacist or pharmacy technician
- Ensure merchandise ordered is received and inform pharmacist/pharmacy technician of any back ordered, discontinued or damaged items.
- Participate actively in performance improvement.
- Identify, interpret, record and report risk management related issues.
- Perform home delivery of prescriptions to customers using company-owned automobile from time-to-time.
- Assist with seasonal dcor placement and help with re-arranging and displaying merchandise to facilitate sales and maintain an aesthetically pleasing environment.
As a Pharmacy Cashier, you must:
- Comply with company safety along with hazardous materials policies.
- Complete HIPAA and FWA Compliance Courses upon hire and annually thereafter.
- Comply with all HIPAA rules and regulations.
- Comply with all FWA rules and regulations.
A Valid Driver's License is required, to deliver prescriptions to customers using company-owned automobile from time-to-time.
Workweek Details:Full Time; Day Shift; Monday - Friday.
