Amazon is looking for a Principal Product Manager with a strong delivery record and proven product management experience to own strategic, cross-functional and technology projects and programs across multiple verticals to innovate in our labor strategy. In this role, you will bring clarity and alignment to our product roadmap. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, align business requirements, user stories, and quantify the impact of potential feature enhancements. With your deep domain expertise and product vision, you'll become the go-to resource for shaping our supply chain labor flexible labor strategy and deliver exceptional value to our customers.

As the Product Strategy Owner, you'll centralize the creation of comprehensive product playbooks, ensuring consistent processes and a single source of truth for critical product documentation. You'll work closely with multiple verticals across the supply chain, coordinating mental models, documenting decision-making processes, and quantifying the levers that drive product excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for driving large-scale end-to-end process changes and partnering with multiple internal and external stakeholders to improve performance across multiple operational programs. You will be responsible for briefing senior leaders on staffing strategy performance across your assigned span of control. You will be responsible for providing expert guidance to operators and managers while managing the successful delivery of programs and goals across multiple organizations.

Key job responsibilities

• Manage and oversee various cross-functional programs, ensuring successful delivery.

• Develop and refine product strategies, effectively leading and motivating teams.

• Set clear objectives for programs and products, leveraging data analytics to drive improvements and achieve metrics.

• Navigate and resolve ambiguities in business scenarios, applying creative problem-solving skills.

• Foster collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize resource allocation and project success.

• Evaluate and prioritize product solutions in conjunction with customer needs and technical team inputs.

• Bridge gaps in team dynamics, processes, and systems, preventing common project pitfalls.

• Identify and mitigate risks, preventing them from escalating into major issues.

• Regularly communicate with directors, business leaders, and other stakeholders to support key business initiatives.

• Develop, implement, and oversee KPI reporting for a product and staffing portfolio, ensuring clear visibility of milestones and project performance.

• Manage and communicate program budgets effectively.

• Ability to travel 20-25%

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • 10+ years of blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives about process creation, standardization, and improvement experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience owning technology products

  • Experience blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives about process creation, standardization, and improvement

  • MBA

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or leading teams.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
