What you’ll do

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer specializing in desktop applications to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement automated testing frameworks and strategies for Mac and Windows applications, ensuring software quality and reliability. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to integrate automated testing into the development lifecycle. Your expertise in coding, testing methodologies, and automation tools will play a key role in building a robust testing infrastructure for desktop applications.

  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, test cases, and scripts for Mac and Windows applications.

  • Work closely with developers to design testable software architectures and improve test coverage.

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines with automated testing to support continuous integration and deployment.

  • Identify, document, and track software defects using defect tracking tools.

  • Conduct performance, security, and load testing as needed.

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure testability and adherence to quality standards.

  • Understand the desktop application from end to end, identifying areas for testing improvements.

  • Stay updated with the latest trends in test automation and software engineering.

    What you’ll need

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation, with a focus on desktop applications.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

  • Experience with Windows and macOS application automation tools (e.g., WinAppDriver, UIAutomation, Appium for Desktop, SikuliX, XCTest).

  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman, Insomnia, or RestAssured.

  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

  • Experience with Git, version control, and code reviews.

  • Solid understanding of desktop operating systems (Windows/macOS) and their architectures.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Experience working in an agile development environment.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).

    Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Familiarity with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, message queues).

  • Prior experience with mobile application automation (iOS, Android) is a plus.
