Amazon Software Development Engineer, Japan Store Tech in Beijing, China
Description
Japan Store Tech Search and Science infrastructure team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our team and work on a GenAI application to streamline and optimize vendor management and vendor growth.
In this position, you will have opportunity to explore latest advancement of GenAI technologies, design how to integrate them into the fast growing Amazon business, and drive new business partners that are deeply embedded with GenAI.
Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer, you will collaborate with Product Managers, Scientists, Software Development Managers and partner teams across the company to develop, test, and deploy solutions to improve the discovery of in-region selections. This requires using sophisticated distributed systems, as well as big data and machine learning technologies. A successful candidate will have a passion for innovation, interest in cutting-edge technology, and excitement about working in a high-impact domain.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Scientists, and partner teams to understand requirements and business cases, and distill them into an engineering solution. You will use this understanding and knowledge to influence multiple software engineering teams to build scalable infrastructure to empower our scientists to train and deliver models. You will also influence our overall strategy, drive the team’s roadmap, and develop junior engineers.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
