Fortive Corporation Wafer Test Technician in Beaverton, Oregon

The Wafer Test Technician supports product Test jobs and Engineering Evaluations. This includes but is not limited to test application and product development, new product development evaluations, product test application validation and verification and ongoing production test support.

Responsibilities:

  • Set-up, operation, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance of various wafer prober tools including TSK, Accretech, TEL, and Cascade

  • Operation and maintenance of Automatic Test Equipment including LTX Credence, Advantest, and Rack and Stack Test Systems

  • Operation of test equipment including but not limited to DMM, Oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer

  • Diagnose Test Failures from data analysis and documentation

  • Order or complete rework and repair actions

  • Support Engineering with program specific tasks

  • Execute experiments and production qualifications runs

  • Maintain test fixtures and test systems

  • Repair and preventative maintenance of cantilever and vertical probe cards

  • Repair and preventative maintenance of package test sockets

  • Spare parts tracking and utilization analysis

  • Replacing and reworking cables and system components

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or comparable military training in Engineering Technology or related field, or 5 years’ experience related to electrical engineering technician work or Information Technology.

  • Flexibility – Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Effectiveness –Must possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative; Effectively prioritize and follow through on assignments and projects

  • Troubleshooting/Debug – Experience troubleshooting electronic and mechanical products is required

  • Communication – Excellent skills in interpersonal relationships, communication, and teamwork; Possess strong written and oral communication skills

  • Tools - Must have experience with Windows Office Suite (including word processing, spreadsheet software, and e-mail client)

  • Wafer Handling Experience

Preferred, but not required:

  • Proven track record of training peers

  • Robotics experience

  • Expert with RF test equipment, including network and spectrum analyzers

  • Working knowledge of high-performance interconnects, and other high-frequency components, including, mixers, oscillators, RF switches, relays, etc . . .

  • Able to use schematics to conduct fault isolation

  • Windows and UNIX operating system operation and configuration experience

  • Network administration experience

  • Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles

  • Understanding of Oracle data base data entry and analysis

  • Experience interacting in cross functional groups on continuous improvement projects

  • Experience interacting with engineering on continuous improvement projects using analytical problem-solving skills

  • Experience with operation of electronic test equipment: Ability to use and understand general test equipment including digital multi-meters (DMM), power supplies, sources meters, torque wrenches, etc.; background in practical electronics, electronic test equipment and troubleshooting

  • Experience in a high compliance environment such as ISO 9000, AS9100D, and ISO 17025

Shift Schedule and Working Environment:

Tektronix Component Solutions is a 24/7 manufacturing facilities in a clean room environment. We are hiring for multiple shifts. This position is for the weekend day shift (Friday through Sunday from 5:00 am to 5:30 pm). The ability wear cleanroom attire and adhere ESD policies is required.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continually required to stand; walk; balance; crouch, stoop, twist, kneel, use hands to finger, handle, grasp, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, some overhead push/pull an average of 50 lbs. (maximum 125 lbs.). The employee is occasionally required to lift more than 50 lbs.; climb; twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Employee will occasionally operate forklift and various lifts/hoists.
