Job Overview:
The Assistant Bookkeeper will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring that all accounting transactions are processed efficiently and accurately. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized individual with a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting software. The Assistant Bookkeeper will help manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Receivable : Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
General Ledger Maintenance : Support the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting policies.
Bank Reconciliation : Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure that the company’s cash accounts align with bank statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Journal Entries : Prepare and record journal entries for various transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper categorization.
Financial Reporting : Assist in preparing basic financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Data Entry & Record Keeping : Input financial data into accounting software and ensure records are organized and up-to-date.
Expense Tracking : Track and categorize business expenses, ensuring they are allocated properly and in accordance with company policies.
Assistance with Audits : Help prepare necessary documentation and reports for internal or external audits.
Assist with Month-End Closing : Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by reconciling accounts and preparing necessary reports.
Vendor & Client Communication : Communicate with vendors and clients regarding outstanding invoices or discrepancies and assist in resolving issues.
Administrative Support : Perform administrative duties such as filing, organizing receipts, and maintaining financial records for future reference.
Assist with Special Projects : Provide additional support for accounting and bookkeeping-related tasks or projects as needed.
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
