Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on belt conveyors, motors, and other production equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
Inspect, diagnose, and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly.
Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and parts inventory.
Collaborate with production staff to ensure minimal disruption to operations during repairs and maintenance.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing or food production environment.
Strong knowledge of belt conveyors, motors, and associated mechanical and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills.
Flexibility to work the 3rd shift and occasional weekends or holidays as needed.
