City of Bay Minette Concessions Manager (Part-TIme) in Bay Minette, Alabama

CONCESSIONS MANAGER

The City of Bay Minette is accepting applications for the position of Concessions Manager with the City of Bay Minette Recreation Department.

This is a part-time position overseeing concession operations within the City of Bay Minette Recreation Department, to include training, scheduling, and management of staff, and participating in the activities of the concession area. An incumbent in this position will work a varied schedule, to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of one or more concession stands for the City of Bay Minette.
  • Manages and oversees concession stand staff in the provision of food and drinks for recreational activities.
  • Schedules staff to ensure adequate coverage for recreational events.
  • Trains staff on proper procedures and techniques for concession stand operations.
  • Inventories concessions stand supplies to ensure adequate provisions for events.
  • Collects daily receipts and funds for delivery to City Hall.
  • Trains staff in customer relations practices and techniques to ensure excellent interactions with concession patrons.
  • Receipts daily admission fees and concession sales.
  • Prepares routine administrative paperwork.
  • Maintains stock for concessions area.
  • Operates cash register.
  • Must wear staff uniform while on duty and exhibit behavior appropriate for a city employee.
  • Supervises others and participates in daily cleaning assignments for the concession area.
  • Addresses any concerns or issues brought by the public.
  • Addresses and takes care of any broken equipment.
  • Maintains professional and courteous behavior toward co-workers, concession stand visitors, the public, and others contacted in the course of the work.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • HS diploma or successful completion of GED is required.
  • Must have at least one year experience in concession stand operations.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be drug and alcohol free.
  • Must be in good physical condition and able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be dependable, alert, and enthusiastic.
  • Must have a good work ethic, be responsible, courteous, and possess good communication skills.
  • Must exhibit a welcoming and pleasant attitude conducive to working with the public and have the ability to establish effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and the general public.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, which may include afternoons/evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must have the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Rate of Pay: $13.41 per hour
