Junior Achievement of the Michigan Great Lakes (JAMGL) is searching for a District Directors to lead the district of Junior Achievement of SouthWest Michigan. As a District Director, you will oversee operations, manage staff members, and guide the delivery of JAMGL programming, ensuring organizational and financial objectives are achieved. You will work with a local, high-performing board while getting the support of a well-run regional nonprofit and the backing of national and global JA parents.

 

What you will do:

  • Manage staff to ensure smooth operation of JA offices, overseeing 2-4 additional team members
  • Collaborate closely with the JAMGL Senior Vice President of Development, CEO, and Chief Education Officer to achieve organizational objectives
  • Organize and execute fundraising events to meet financial goals, fostering goodwill and cultivating warm prospects. Develop marketing materials, secure event sponsors, and ensure participant satisfaction for future engagement
  • Plan and implement annual fundraising campaigns, identifying prospects, securing contributions, and motivating volunteers for successful outcomes
  • Research and cultivate relationships with corporate and foundation donors, managing grant processes, and stewarding contributions
  • Promote Junior Achievement as a solution for Michigan's Financial Literacy requirements, fostering partnerships with educators and businesses
  • Collaborate with local colleges to recruit and secure college interns
  • Identify prospective Advisory Board members and recruit event committee members
  • Assist CEO and Senior Accountant in budget preparation and financial reporting
  • Ensure accurate data entry and reporting processes are followed, including tracking prospects, solicitors, and funding history. Collect pledges in a timely manner and prepare accurate reports

What you bring:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Proven fundraising or sales experience
  • Strong interpersonal, motivational and management skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to think strategically and see the big picture while ensuring excellence in daily operations
  • Comfortable with representing the organization in a variety of settings and social situations and are confident in your networking, public speaking, and persuasion skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other software and databases and are eager to learn new technology
  • Reliable transportation to travel between locations

$65,000 salary plus incentive pay
