WestRock Company Assistant Boiler Operator Engineer in Battle Creek, Michigan

Come learn more about WestRock Paper Mill! We are looking for an Assistant Boiler Operating Engineer.

What to expect:

  • The Asst. Boiler Operator will have a NIULPE Class 4 Power Engineer License and will be responsible for assisting with overall boiler operation and control the water filtration process.

  • *

Able to trouble shoot semi-automated water production equipment.

  • Proficient with Distributed Control Systems.

  • *

Able to perform water quality tests and record on computer databases.

  • Familiar with OSHA and other local safety codes.

  • *

Able to safely operate 12" High Pressure valves.

  • Proficient with Compressed Air Systems

  • *

Must be willing and able to work overtime, nights, and weekends, as needed.

  • Willing and able to work in a nonsmoking environment.

     Preferred Skills:

  • *

Experience with Delta V Operator Control Screens, alarm systems and HMI touch screen applications.

  • Experience ADT Fire Alarm or similar systems.

  • *

Experience and proven ability with AC and DC drives for fan, pump, and steam applications.

 Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift, push, and pull, up to 50 lbs.

  • *

Able to climb stairs and ladders, in addition to entering restricted confined spaces.

  • Willing and able to work in a nonsmoking environment.
