The Role
As a Sr Lead Business Operations Manager, you will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with AI Governance and AI project teams across various domains and geographic contexts to identify and mitigate AI governance risks. Your experience and passion for AI governance will be essential in continuously improving our program. You will support the testing and evaluation of AI systems, coordinate with stakeholders across the organization, and contribute to thought leadership.

The Main Responsibilities
Coordinate the strategy, planning and successful completion of AI governance business processes. Create, maintain and update the AI governance program content, structure, policies and processes.
Coordinate with Internal Audit team and external audit team on AI governance and annual program improvement opportunities
Assist AI governance partners in operationalizing AI governance initiatives by managing the AI Review Process, AI governance workflow, and coordinating with group representatives to navigate AI governance complexities.
Administer AI governance tools, create workflows, automate solutions, and develop new solutions to integrate with other tools to enhance synergy.
Collaborate with program managers from other teams to provide updates on AI governance processes, assist in managing the AI governance lifecycle, and promote AI governance processes.
Work with data scientists in the AI governance team on ethical AI assessment tools, responsible AI tools, MLOps, and LLMOps technical frameworks. Communicate these technical frameworks and tools to the business partner team. Contribute to Responsible AI thought leadership, technical tutorials, and tool development.
Manage the Risk Management process to identify and mitigate risks for the AI governance team, ensuring alignment with team strategy and processes, and collaborate with AI governance strategists to ensure accurate communication of the team’s message.
Provide support to AI project owners throughout the AI lifecycle from an AI governance perspective, ensuring adherence to AI governance principles and guidelines.
Thoroughly document all AI governance processes, decisions, and methodologies to ensure transparency, repeatability, and continuous improvement. Maintain comprehensive records for audits, compliance checks, and training purposes.
Improve AI governance training and awareness program.
Coordinate the update and approvals for AI Policies
Manage and complete special projects assigned
Perform other duties as assigned
What We Look For in a Candidate
Bachelor's or master’s degree in information systems management, Information Technology Management, Computer Science, Data Science, or Risk Management.
12 years of experience in business operations within the AI domain, including direct involvement with AI product teams.
Strong understanding of the AI lifecycle and governance principles.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and skills in identifying and mitigating risks in business contexts.
Proficiency in administering and automating AI governance tools.
Familiarity with machine learning techniques, methodologies, and the AI lifecycle, as well as common technologies such as generative AI.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills suited for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Willingness to learn and take initiative in technical areas related to AI governance.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges:
$103,711 - $138,281 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$108,896 - $145,195 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$114,082 - $152,109 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
