Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Description
We are in the business of providing professional services and are currently in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role is crucial in managing our accounts payable operations and will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial processes. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Take charge of the administrative and clerical needs of the Accounts Payable/Finance Department
• Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner to ensure compliance with company policies
• Deliver customer service to internal business partners.
• Assist in internal and external audit procedures as required
• Sort and distribute daily department mail
• Log, photocopy, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
• Verify, log and mail checks, including expedited special handling
• Handle the matching and batching of codes, resolving any Accounts Payable issues
• Process expense reports and update and reconcile sub-ledger to General Ledger
• Take on special projects as assigned
Requirements
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks is mandatory
• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) is required
• Experience in Account Reconciliation is necessary
• Familiarity with Oracle is a plus
• Ability to perform Check Runs effectively
• Knowledge of Coding Invoices is crucial
• Strong data entry skills are required
• Experience in Invoice Processing is essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Adaptability and ability to work under pressure
• High level of integrity and trustworthiness
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
