Job Title: Junior Civil Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Civil Engineer to join our team, focusing on commercial and multifamily residential projects. In this role, you will work under licensed Engineers as part of a design team, assisting in coordinating site civil designs to meet project objectives, schedules, and budgets. You will perform engineering tasks, site visits, data collection, and assist in design processes including grading, earthwork analysis, and stormwater management. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling multiple projects concurrently, adapting to changing environments, and be eager to expand their knowledge in site/civil engineering. Responsibilities also include preparing cost estimates, specifications, and various reports, as well as developing Site plans using AutoCAD.
Hard Skills
4+ years Civil Land Development Design experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D
Experience in grading, drainage, stormwater management, paving and permitting
Soft Skills
Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
Flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment
Strong communication skills and willingness to expand knowledge
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
Work Environment
The position is full-time with a work schedule of 5 days on-site per week, splitting time between office work and field inspections. The field work involves inspection and assessment. Our office environment is supportive with easy access to leadership, promoting a collaborative atmosphere in our civil division. There is significant potential for upward growth within the company.
