Salary Grade and Benefits\ \ Steelworkers Union Eligible\ \$16 \$24 dollars per hour, depending on experience.\ Pension, 401k, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Paid Vacation and Weekly Tool Allowance.\ \ Reports to\ General Manager/Plant Foreman
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective\ \ The maintenance technician/mechanic position is responsible for performing duties related\ repair and maintenance of granite manufacturing and related production equipment.\ \ Essential Functions\ \ Primary duties include installation and maintenance of machines and plant facility equipment.\ Includes working on cranes, forklifts, loaders and manufacturing equipment motors, pumps and\ electrical components.
1. Schedule and perform routine maintenance.\ 2. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to production equipment.\ 3. Apply mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of
production machines.\ 4. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required
maintenance and service.\ 5. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, testing and adjustments.\ 6. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.\ 7. May include a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.\ 8. Requires use of hand and power tools, electric meters and production handling
equipment.\ 9. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations
to proper supervision.\ 10. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Work Environment
Manufacturing facility.\ \ \ Position Type/Expected Hours of Work\ \ This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to\ 3 p.m. Overtime and weekend work required on as needed basis.\ \ Required Education and Experience
1. High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent\ number of years of education and mechanical maintenance experience.
2. 4+ years experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical and industrial\ skills with some PLC and HVAC experience.
3. Valid Commercial Drivers License
