POSITION: WCMHS is seeking a v isionary clinical leader passionate about shaping the future of integrated healthcare to join our senior executive team as the Chief Clinical and Programs Officer (CCPO). As the agency’s key clinical representative, the CCPO will report to the CEO, and will work closely and collaboratively with the Medical Director, the CFO, and the COO. The CCPO will drive the strategy for systems integration and guide service delivery, program development, and performance management to ensure the agency delivers high quality care to people accessing mental health, substance use, and intellectual and developmental disability services, and will utilize their clinical and programmatic expertise to provide leadership, supervision, and support to client-facing program leaders, and foster organizational stability, sustainability, and innovation in alignment with the WCMHS mission.

QUALIFICATIONS: Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate degree in social work, psychology, counseling or other related human service field equivalent.

  • Clinical licensure (LMHC/LICSW/LMFT) and Licensed Clinical Professional in the state of Vermont, with an NPI number (or eligibility to obtain NPI number upon employment).

  • Minimum of ten (10) years post-licensure experience providing mental health, social, or developmental services.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in supervisory and management positions, and three (3) or more years of senior leadership responsibility including experience in clinical program development, program development, budget management, and developing strategic, program design, and management plans.

    Additional requirements for the CCPO position include:

  • Knowledge of federal/state regulatory and administrative services requirements, and familiarity with Vermont's MH, SUD, and DS systems and regulations.

  • Values-based, ethical, and authentic leadership, interpersonal, and communications skills, with the ability to collaborate strategically across the organization and foster cohesiveness around a shared vision. 

  • Ability to utilize process improvement strategies, data analytics tools, and strategic planning skills to build new systems and optimize existing processes.

  • Strong research, analysis, and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear and effective policy and compliance documents.  

  • A bility to embrace change and to work productively in a dynamic environment.

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: This full-time position offers an annualized salary of $150,000 to $167,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications) and excellent benefits, including generous paid time off; employer-sponsored health, dental, life, and disability insurances; and a 403(b) retirement plan with employer match. WCMHS also offers educational benefits, including tuition reimbursement and student loan repayment.
