NOVA Technologies Hardware QA Engineer in Barksdale Afb, Louisiana

The Hardware/QA Engineer will lead the design, development, and quality assurance of advanced hardware solutions. This dual-function role is responsible for creating and implementing innovative hardware design solutions, managing the entire hardware lifecycle, and ensuring robust testing and quality control measures. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop digital circuits, embedded systems, and printed circuit boards while maintaining compliance with quality standards. This role will also oversee the testing, auditing, and documentation of projects to ensure hardware performance, reliability, and alignment with project requirements. The Hardware/QA Engineer is instrumental in both engineering and quality assurance functions to deliver high-quality, reliable products and services.

Hardware Engineering:

  • Develops innovative hardware design solutions including digital circuit design, firmware applications, microprocessor-based board-level design, robotics control systems, printed circuit board (PCB) layout, digital signal processing, and real-time embedded multiprocessor systems.

Quality Assurance:

  • Oversees all Test and Quality Assurance (QA) functions, ensuring comprehensive testing and QA activities for B52 TS are executed and sustained throughout the project lifecycle.

``` - Facilitates government testing and acceptance of TSSC projects, ensuring compliance with established standards and requirements.

``` - Accurately documents test discrepancies from CVT and GVT testing in the Test Discrepancies Report (TDR) database, ensuring traceability and resolution.

``` - Leads the scheduling and coordination of testing activities, developing structured processes and procedures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and supervisors for necessary support.

``` - Manages Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) records, ensuring all QA and testing activities are properly documented and compliant with regulatory standards.

``` - Monitors and reports progress on all QA and testing activities, providing detailed updates within the scope of responsibility.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related field. An equivalent combination of education and years of experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.

``` - 3-8 years of experience as a Hardware Engineering, including hands-on design, development, and testing of hardware systems, circuit boards, or embedded systems.

``` - 3-8 years of experience in quality assurance, focusing on testing methodologies, quality management systems, and product lifecycle testing.

``` - Proven experience in managing full hardware product lifecycles, from concept and design to implementation and testing, and automated testing tools and hardware troubleshooting.

``` - Experience working with quality standards and compliance regulations, particularly in the aerospace or defense industries.

``` - Experience in documenting discrepancies and defects using tools like the Test Discrepancies Reports (TDR) database and creating logs for testing phases.
