Nestle Category Development Manager (Food) - Grocery Sales in Bangkok, Thailand

Business Unit/Division: Grocery Sales Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related

Minimum 7 years of experience in in Trade Marketing/ Category Development and/or Marketing with Sales experience

Good English & Thai communication skill is a must

A DAY IN THE LIFE...

  • Develop and enable the execution of the Category agenda across Channels (inc. Key Customers) to support long term Category growth and profitably increase market share based on Shopper and Customer requirements.

  • Accountable and Responsible for implementing activities that deliver Category/ sub Category growth based on consumer insight, shopper insight and customer requirements as identified in ICP.

  • Develop Category plans (4Ps+C activities) by Channel including Cycle Plan

  • Accountable and Responsible for working with Shopper Understanding & Activation team and Channel team to develop the in-store vision of success (Perfect Store) for the Category/ sub Category in each channel. Recommends actionable in-store solutions to support in-store vision. Supports its implementation and continuously review the effectiveness of our in-store actions.

  • Accountable for proposing optimal Trade spend budgets for category by channel based on ICP. Ensure all Trade spend investment is properly reviewed and evaluated.

  • Accountable and Responsible for recommending clear promotional guidelines based on shopper understanding and current market knowledge. Ensure promotional investment is properly evaluated.

  • Accountable and Responsible for monitoring promotional trends, initiatives and competitor actions by Category/ sub Category, priority channels and strategic customers. Identify and recommend promotional opportunities for Nestle categories and Brands.

  • Accountable and Responsible for developing selling stories, preparing and implementing new product trade launch plan, including NPD roadshow with key customer as well as conducting pre and post evaluation.

  • Drive alignment of monthly activities and discussion to understand LE & M+3 in Sales Plan Review, including risk & opportunity

  • Responsible for preparing relevant information and analysis for MSR discussion, including consolidated LE, risk and opportunity by channel as well as proposed action for gap closing

  • Responsible for preparing channel-based deep dive analysis for category review in ICP, with customer and JBP

  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to all company principles and policies.

  • Ensure compliance of team’s activities with the WHO Code, local code and the Nestlé Instructions

ARE YOU A FIT?

  • 7 years experience in Trade Marketing/ Category Development and/or Marketing with Sales experience

  • Demonstrable record of success in a customer (not limited to Key Accounts) facing role.

  • Understands customers and the selling process.

  • Understanding of Shopper, Market Intelligence sources, Competitive Landscape & Category/Channel/Shopper trends
