IBM Staff System Development Engineer in Bangalore, India

Your Role and Responsibilities
Design and develop tests and workloads to ensure the reliability, capacity, and scalability of the product by working closely with development within an Agile operating model.
Perform test activities in virtual or real environments for various levels of test including functional, system, integration.
Container experience, zCX .
Identify defects and work with development to analyze and resolve.
Optimize, and automate existing test scenarios.
Improve existing Test Automation infrastructure and collaborate on test strategies.
Acquire and utilize IBM Z (LoZ/zOS) skills - system programming, various software/hardware disciplines, etc.
Agile practices, Jira, GitHub and Jenkins tool knowledge.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
8+ years of relevant experience
Experience with the Software Development life cycle; coding, unit test, function or component test, system test and integration test
Demonstrated execution experience of Systems project development
Strong programming skills in C (Willingness to learn Assembler and IBM high level PLX language ) , PLX, JCL, Assembly, Rexx, Java, Javascript, Unix system scripting Shell/Python.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting
Ability to learn new tools quickly
Good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a global team environment.
Able to guide a team of lesser experienced professionals
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
zOS architecture, System programming
Familiar with z/OS and z/VM
Programming languages: MVS JCL, REXX,
Dump reading using Interactive Problem Control System (IPCS). Ability to interpret logs and dumps
